While I sometimes miss the days when the boy was a wee baby, IMHO, every year that he has grown older, being his dad has only become better and more fun. The one thing that I’ll miss when he’s older, though, is holding his hand.

At age seven, the boy already is starting to feel awkward sometimes when we hold hands in public. To him, holding hands with your dad is something that babies do, not something that big boys do. I figure that I might have another year or two of being able to hold my kid’s hand in public, before he starts to decline my hand-holding requests.
