The weatherman wasn’t kidding when he said it was the first workday of Fall. It’s a crisp and clear 64 degrees in the city today. My usual busy business lady lunchmate and I decided to try something different for lunch, so we grabbed a quik-e bite at the food stalls that have camped out near Madison Square Park for the month.

I’m usually too much of control-slash-clean freak to eat food from an open-air food stall, but happily, one of the best Mediterranean joints in the city had a stall, so I got a lamb shawarma wrap and Phoenician fries with garlic, sumac and parsley aioli. For my lunch dessert, I got some macarons from a new patisserie, which also had a stall.

Everything was kinda pricey (I ended up spending north of 20 bucks for everything), but it was worth it. Seriously good eats for lunch today!
