During lunch, busy daddy asked me, “Um, should we be concerned about our hideous profile video?” And I said, The way I see it, if a birthmother decides not to pick us based on something as shallow as a horrible, amateurish video, then I don’t want her to choose us. Busy daddy said, “It’s hard to tell sometimes whether or not you’re being serious.” I said, What do you mean? Busy daddy said, “Because your blog post seemed to indicate cause for alarm.” I said, Do you believe everything that you read on my blog? Busy daddy said, “Um. I guess. Not?” And I said, Besides, I want our kid’s birthmother to be an emo, anti-social goth girl who spends more time reading than she does watching silly videos. And busy daddy said, “Really?” I said, Of course, as long as she knows who Siouxsie Sioux is, then we’re good.
