Coming from New York City, my busy business lady colleague and I naturally assumed that we could simply stumble out of our Philly office building and run into a joint or two that would sell us Cheesesteaks. Apparently it’s a bit more complicated than that. Plus, Philadelphians appear to lurve  their Chipotle and Qdoba (not that there’s anything wrong with that) because we ran into a pair of each within a four block radius.
After wandering around Chestnut Street for 30 minutes with no success in our quest for Cheesesteaks, we finally asked a random guy on the street if he could recommend a place. He told us that most Cheesesteak places weren’t anywhere near walking distance, but he suggested Sansom Street as a possible place to find a decent restaurant.
Every business business lady in town was having lunch so places were packed, but we found an empty bar that had “cheesesteak” sandwiches. The “cheesesteaks” were just awight, but the truffled fries were yum.
Is it bad that I already need a nap and my day is only halfway done?
