I woke to the gentle, soothing sounds of running water. At first I thought it might be raining outside, but then I went down to the basement and saw that our water heater had exploded and was quickly flooding the basement at the Busy-Lazy Shack. My first instinct was to go back to bed, but then I realized that I should probably do something. I turned off the main water supply, then went to Home Depot to buy some cleaning supplies, including a dry/wet vac.
I’ll tell you what, I’m more of a Lowe’s kind of guy, but Home Depot is just down the street from the Shack. Ordinarily it’s a Big Fat Drag to shop at Home Depot, but today it was great. The place was empty, the service was fast, and I was in and out, easy peasy.
Now to attend to my flooded basement disaster. Wish me luck.
